What YT Comment GIF collects when you read the guides or use the comment GIF generator, and what it does not.
Last updated: 2026-10-14
Summary
YT Comment GIF is a browser extension, a website with guides, and a GIF generator that runs in your browser. You do not need an account to use it, and it does not ask for your name, email address or payment details.
The Browser Extension
The YT Comment GIF extension collects no personal data and has no analytics.
- YouTube. It adds a GIF button to comment boxes on youtube.com. When you pick a GIF, YouTube’s own page sends the comment; the extension adds the GIF’s Tenor ID to that request. It never reads your YouTube password, cookies or account details.
- Tenor. To show GIFs, it sends your search words to tenor.com and Tenor’s API, without your cookies. GIF previews load from Tenor’s servers, which see your IP address as for any image. Tenor’s own privacy policy applies to those requests.
- Favorites. GIFs you star are kept in the extension’s local storage in your browser and are never sent anywhere. Removing the extension deletes them.
- Us. The extension sends nothing to ytcommentgif.com. After install it opens our welcome page once, which is an ordinary visit to this site.
The Comment GIF Generator
The generator runs entirely in your browser. The comment text, name and like count you type are drawn on your device and turned into a GIF there. They are not sent to our servers, and we cannot see or store the GIFs you make.
Information We Collect
- Usage statistics. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets cookies and records information such as the pages you view, your approximate location, your browser and your device type.
- Server logs. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address and browser details to serve pages and to block abuse.
- Email. If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message.
How We Use It
We use this information to keep the site working, to understand which guides are useful, and to reply when you contact us. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising profiles.
Third Parties
Google Analytics and Cloudflare process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms. Guides on this site link to other websites, including GitHub and YouTube. Those sites have their own policies, and we are not responsible for them.
Your Choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. The site and the generator work without cookies.
